The Faja Fold: A Recovery Nightmare
You finally get your faja on…
You sit down…
And it immediately starts rolling 😭
Not only is this uncomfortable
it is actually a recovery problem.
When your faja rolls, it creates:
• a tight pressure band
• uneven compression
• creasing in your skin
And if your swelling settles into that crease?
You risk:
• permanent faja lines
• rippling
• uneven results
At BDY by The Faja Doctor, this is one of the most common issues we fix.
Let’s break down WHY it happens
and how to stop it for good.
👉🏼 Learn how compression should actually fit:

1. Torso Length Mismatch (Most Common Cause)
This is the #1 reason fajas roll.
If your faja is too long for your torso
the fabric has nowhere to go
So it:
• bunches
• folds
• rolls down
What It Looks Like:
• creasing at the waist or lower back
• bunching when you sit
• fabric overlapping your breasts
And it should NOT be doing that.
Your faja should:
• sit right under your breasts
• not overlap them
• lay flat against your torso
Important Reality: Torso Measurements Are Not Reliable
Even when a faja is made “custom”
it can STILL be too long in the torso.
Why?
Because torso measurements are:
• taken differently by everyone
• inconsistent
• extremely easy to get wrong
Which means:
even custom fajas often require torso adjustments after the fact.
This is completely normal.
What to Try First:
✔️ Tighten your straps
Sometimes the garment just needs to be pulled higher
How to Know What You Need:
✔️ If it creases mainly in the back and sides:
You likely need back and side torso shortening
✔️ If it creases AND overlaps your breasts:
You likely need full torso shortening all the way around
The Real Fix:
This is where professional alterations come in.
we specialize in:
• back and side torso shortening
• full torso shortening
• custom fit corrections
This instantly fixes:
• rolling
• bunching
• improper fit

2. Straps Are Too Loose (Very Common + Easy Fix)
This one gets overlooked ALL the time.
If your straps are too loose
your faja is not being held up properly
So what happens?
The garment:
• slides downward
• loses tension at the top
• starts rolling
What Your Straps Should Be Doing:
✔️ Pull the faja UP
✔️ Keep the back smooth and lifted
✔️ Maintain tension through the torso
The Fix:
Tighten your straps more than you think you need to
If your back looks wrinkled or loose
your straps are too loose
This one adjustment alone can stop the roll.
3. Rib Cage Conflict (Too Tight Up Top)
If your faja is too tight at the ribs
your body will:
push the garment downward
This causes:
• flipping at the top
• rolling
• discomfort
The Fix:
Use [BDY Gold Hook Extender]
https://bdyfajas.com/products/faja-extender-vanilla-max-durability-gold-hooks

• the top 2 to 3 hooks
